State Raises CCDW Prices & Terms:
The State of Delaware Prothonotary’s Office has increased their filing fees effective February 1st, 2010 from $34.50 to $65.00. The new fee affects both new applicants and renewal permits.
In exchange for the increased fee, the State of Delaware has also increased the length of the validity of the Concealed Carry Permits. The initial issue used to be valid for 2 years. The initial issued permit is now valid for 3 years! All renewal permits used to be valid for 3 years, which has now been increased to 5 years!
Pay close attention to your CCDW renewal date as it is imperative that you have your paperwork submitted prior to your expiration date to avoid having to go through the entire application process again!
